Swansea Cats & Kittens

Association of Dogs and Cats Homes

Swansea Cats and Kittens has officially been accepted as a Full Member of the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH). This is a major milestone for our small, volunteer‑run charity and a moment of real pride for everyone involved.

What ADCH Membership Means ADCH is the leading animal welfare umbrella organisation for rescue and rehoming charities across the UK and Ireland. Becoming a Full Member means that Swansea Cats and Kittens has demonstrated that we meet the high welfare, care, and operational standards expected of reputable rescue organisations.
This achievement confirms that:

Our welfare practices meet nationally recognised standards

Our foster environments are safe, clean, and appropriate

Our policies and procedures are robust and responsible

Our volunteers work to a standard comparable with much larger, well‑resourced organisations

For a small charity with no paid staff, this recognition is especially meaningful. It shows the wider world that our commitment to cat welfare is not only heartfelt but also professional, consistent, and accountable. Thank You to Our Volunteers - This success belongs to every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and compassion to help cats in need.  Becoming a Full Member strengthens our credibility, supports our fundraising efforts, and connects us with a network of respected rescues across the UK. It also reassures adopters, supporters, and partner organisations that Swansea Cats and Kittens operates to the highest welfare standards.  Most importantly, it reflects the heart of our charity: a dedicated team of volunteers working tirelessly to give vulnerable cats and kittens the best possible chance.  This is a huge achievement for our small charity
