Bessie lives life on her own terms and it’s her strength of character that’s helped her get through some tough times. Young Bess was adopted from a rescue centre as a kitten, but her owner then gave her to a farm. Then somehow, and at some point, Bessie ended up straying in a suburban garden and lived as a cared-for stray for a number of years. She was happy, well-fed and had the freedom she loves. Sadly this situation had to change when her elderly feeder could no longer manage. So Bessie came to us. She’s been great with us and is usually friendly and enjoys company, but she can also be a bit grumpy and unpredictable.
Bessie is still curious about the world and has a sense of fun despite having a bit of arthritis in her front leg, which can make her limp sometimes. She also must’ve sustained an injury to her eye at some point because she’s partially sighted in one eye. But neither problem stops her enjoying life! Bess is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She’s had a dental op for a loose tooth and is looking good. Bessie is a mature puss and needs a home where she can keep warm, dry and cosy. She needs all the love and care of a pet cat, but would prefer a semi-independent lifestyle. Bessie adores being outside, so safe outdoor space is really important. We know there’s the perfect home out there for Bessie and we’re determined to find it for her…she deserves that so much.
